  • Every session is tailored to your child’s unique profile, age, and interests, but most follow a collaborative four-part flow:

    1. The Check-In: We begin with a brief touchpoint with you and your child to see how the week has gone and gauge everyone's current level of energy and regulation.

    2. Collaborative Planning: Your child and I will create a "plan" for our time together. This empowers them to have agency and choice in their care.

    3. Play-Based & Child-Led Engagement: This is the heart of the session. We focus on communication and developmental goals through the activities your child is naturally drawn to. By following their lead, we ensure they stay regulated and engaged.

    4. Parent Coaching & Debrief: Because you are the expert on your child, I include in-the-moment coaching throughout the session and a dedicated debrief at the end. We’ll discuss observations, answer questions, and identify simple ways to embed these skills into your daily family routines.

  • Do you accept insurance?

Chat & Bloom Speech and Language PLLC is a private-pay practice and I do not bill insurance companies directly.

Can I get reimbursed for our sessions?

Yes, potentially! While Chat & Bloom is "out-of-network," I provide monthly Superbills (detailed itemized receipts) that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

    • Reimbursement Rates: Many "PPO" insurance plans cover 60–70% of out-of-network services once your annual deductible has been met.

    • Pro-Tip: I recommend calling the "Member Services" number on the back of your insurance card and asking: "What is my out-of-network reimbursement rate for outpatient SLP services?”

    Do you accept HSA/FSA cards?

Yes. Since speech-language therapy is a health-related service, you can typically use your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) card to pay for sessions directly, which uses pre-tax dollars to reduce your overall cost.

  • I drive to you to ensure care happens in the environment where your family is most comfortable. These fees are calculated by zone to cover:

    • Travel Time: Ensuring a reliable, unhurried schedule.

    • Transportation Costs: Including gas, tolls, and vehicle wear and tear.

    • Regional Access: Providing high-quality support throughout the Bellevue area.

    Mobile Service Zones & Fees

  • To ensure I can provide consistent and reliable support to all families, I require 24 hours' notice for any cancellations or rescheduling requests.

Late Cancellations: Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged the full cost of the session. Please note that insurance companies do not provide reimbursement (Superbills) for missed or cancelled sessions.

Mobile Service Fee: If a cancellation occurs after I have already traveled to your home, the Mobile Service Fee will also be charged to cover travel time and transportation costs.

A Note on Flexibility: I understand that life can be unpredictable. Virtual sessions/consultations are often an option if an in-person visit is not possible.
